A Simple Soup Supper
This simple soup supper is bringing the community together each February to bring awareness to the 1 in 7 individuals in Grayson County who are food insecure. Join the community on February 19, 2024 at St. Joseph Parish Hall, 204 N. Main Street from 4PM-7PM CT for the 6th Annual Empty Bowls. Each ticket for $25 will provide simple soup supper and choice of keepsake bowl. This year we will again host painting parties and are seeking event sponsors. GCA was thrilled that last year the 6th Annual Empty Bowls (2023) was a huge success raising $10,270 for the food pantry representing 50,000 meals for local families. American Fantasy Artist and Grayson County native, Larry Elmore dragon bowl was a huge hit, local restaurants provided tasty soups to enjoy. We appreciate the individuals and businesses that sponsored the event.
100% of proceeds stay in Grayson County helping our friends and neighbors!

Paint parties provide hundreds of bowls to sell each year. Community partners sponsor a table at the event to show their support for the GCA Food Pantry.
Every Bowl Provides 100+ Meals
Every meal purchased for $25 includes a beautiful hand crafted bowl and delicious soup donated by a local restaurant. February 20, 2023 we will be gathering for another wonderful supper together!
