A Simple Soup Supper
This simple soup supper is bringing the community together each February to bring awareness to the 1 in 6 individuals in Grayson County who are food insecure. Join the community on February 16, 2026 at St. Joseph Parish Hall, 204 N. Main Street from 4PM-7PM CT for the 8th Annual Empty Bowls. Each ticket for $25 will provide simple soup supper and choice of keepsake bowl. This year we will again host painting parties and are seeking event sponsors. GCA was thrilled that last year the 8th Annual Empty Bowls (2025) was a huge success raising $15,300 for the food pantry representing 122K meals for local families. American Fantasy Artist and Grayson County native, Larry Elmore dragon bowl was a huge hit, local restaurants provided tasty soups to enjoy. We appreciate the individuals and businesses that sponsored the event.
100% of proceeds stay in Grayson County helping our friends and neighbors!

Each year Empty Bowls is a huge success because of the amazing individuals, organizations, and businesses that sponsor the event. For each $50 a sponsor donates, they will receive 1 free meal ticket with choice of keepsake bowl, sponsorship table sign at the event, social media shoutout, and listed as a supporter on our website event page. Paint parties provide hundreds of bowls to sell each year. Community partners sponsor a table at the event to show their support for the GCA Food Pantry.
Every Bowl Provides 100+ Meals
Every meal purchased for $25 includes a beautiful hand crafted bowl and delicious soup donated by a local restaurant. February 16, 2026 we will be gathering for another wonderful supper together!
